and I DID!
I waited for this day, the day that John Mayer will come to Manila and perform.. Yahoo! Thanks to fearless production for bringing John Mayer. The concert was supposed to happen last summer but it's ok I thought October was a good month. Unfortunately it rained, I left the office an hour before 6pm and was suspecting it's going to rain. I was one of the first early comers, it's raining so hard and my feet got soaked but I didn't mind for I am a John Mayer fan. LOL.. God, this is once in my lifetime and will never know when I'm gonna see him again maybe when were both old. hehe. I'd prefer to see him at his prime so I was praying asking the heaven to postpone the rain and God answered, it stopped at the beginning of the show with Aiza as the front act. Even Aiza wanted to end her part to see John Mayer, anyway the moment that we all have been waiting was finally there before our eyes...dang! the rain started to pour again.. oh Dear Lord, please. The weather that night was like orange and red light, "pa-ambon ambon, titigil at di biglang buhos". Lucky were those in VIP seats while the people behind them were standing up on their seats and raising there umbrellas to protect themselves, well I did that too. I cannot see John Mayer in full view on stage and on screen.. umbrellas are everywhere. I thought why didn't they booked and used Araneta Coliseum for this.. uggh. Anyways, the crowd and I went crazy when John Mayer sang No Such Thing... I was singing along and screaming at the top of my lungs and I recorded it, no video just the sound. There's this time when the rain slowly losing it's strength, he gave up.. lol. me and the people near me closed our umbrellas and people behind us followed but some esp the ones in front were like insensitive... so we shouted "Payong! Payong! Payong! "wala ng ulan, payong nyo!" I bet John Mayer and his band heard that too, they wondered I guess "wth they're shouting?"
Woohoo! you will love us Filipinos, we're the best crowd in this planet.
The show ended at about 10:45pm
& btw, I recorded that video above after the rain stopped :)
I wanted to post the sound clip but have to figure out how to do it.
