Letter from Cheska

Before I landed to my current job I was a Message Handling Specialist & Call Center Agent for local food chains, yes 2 accounts namely KRR & Wendy's. It was March 16, 2000 and an ordinary day at work, duty from 6am til 2pm and then school afterward. First shift are quite peak compare to mid shift as far as I can remember... well my schedules covered Breakfast & Lunch. Anyway, that day at work... "Kenny Roger's Roaster! This is Heidi, how can I help you? *in a lively voice* then the other line started talking and she sounded nice. I asked for her contact details, name and her food of choice. When she said she was Cheska Diaz I got a little excited because I was talking to the daughter of Mr. Paquito Diaz and the brother of Joko Diaz but I didn't show hints that I was thrilled to talk to her. So she asked for menu so I offered KRR's product, she's made her choice but uncertain yet with drinks. I gave her choices and when I mentioned that we serve...

Over The Top

One of the best movies from the 80s (for me, it might not be the best for you). I remember watching it when I was like 12 or 13. I find this movie entertaining; I felt connected and will half jump to excitement in some fight scenes. Back then I considered myself a fan of Sylvester Stallone at the height of his career. While waiting for our pizza and the result, I caught the accounts and creatives doing arm wrestling, so I grabbed the cam immediately...

Running on 4th of July

...and not talking about USA Independence Day, but Happy Independence Day to all Americans. I am blogging about the 34th Milo Marathon, and it's a national event. The Manila Elims happened on July 4. It's the first time I joined a marathon race, and I ran 5k. Did I prepare for this? hmm, a tad, since I'm doing my 30 mins of cardio exercise 2x a week in the gym. I wanted to win; I even told my friends I wanted to win. When I was running and saw other runners ahead of me... uggh! too many runners; I have no chance to qualify even in the top 10. Anyway, got to finish this, and when I was near the finish line and saw the time 45:03... In my mind, "Ohh yes! Malapit na. Kaya mo pa yan, Heidi. :P" I finish 5k in 45:30. NOT BAD, huh. The event took place, and all runners gathered in Quirino Grandstand, and to record, the Milo organizers have raised above 2M pesos, yehey! I got home exhausted with sore muscles and painful legs, but all was paid off, for many children will ...
